For those who may have difficulty standing for a long period of time, this chair based class will focus on improving overall strength, flexibility and balance with the use of yoga, Pilates, and other strength training activities. Brief balance movements are incorporated into every class.
MWF—9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
Functional performance relates directly to mobility. Independent living and freedom from disability require performance above a threshold level of function. Enhancing overall strength, balance, flexibility, and core strength, are the emphasis of this class. It is designed for all fitness levels; from the beginner to the more advanced active ager. Several forms of activities, Pilates, yoga, resistance training, and overall stretching, are incorporated into each class. There is something different with every class.
MTTh– 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Our program will follow a heart-healthy food program which will provide an individualized meal plan (breakfast, lunch, dinner, & snacks). Also included is a grocery list and the ability to edit various foods. This program can also be delivered electronically to your computer or smart phone for convenience. Dr. Bohlken will also have access to all meal and exercise information.
